“Temples Must Remain Pure”: Pawan Kalyan Demands Strict Action Against Mismanagement

Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has made a strong appeal to temple governing bodies and endowment authorities to maintain complete discipline in the administration of religious institutions. He clearly stated that temples are sacred places built on devotion and tradition, and there should be no space for corruption, negligence, or irregular activities in their management. His statement has become a key topic of discussion, as it reflects the rising concern among devotees regarding the functioning of temple boards.

Pawan Kalyan stressed that temples are not just buildings or properties under government control, but spiritual centers that represent the beliefs of millions of people. He said that devotees visit temples with deep faith and offer donations with pure intention, expecting that their offerings will be used for the welfare of the temple and for improving facilities. If such sacred funds are misused or if temple systems are not run properly, it becomes a serious insult to the trust of devotees.

The Deputy CM reminded temple board members that they are responsible for protecting the sanctity of these institutions. He said that temple boards must act as guardians and should never treat their positions as an opportunity for personal gain. According to him, those handling temple affairs should behave with honesty and dedication because their decisions influence the emotions of people who believe in the spiritual value of these temples.

He also pointed out that temple management must be completely transparent. Pawan Kalyan explained that all financial matters related to donations, temple revenue, and spending must be clearly recorded and properly monitored. He stated that every rupee collected in the name of God should be used only for the temple’s growth, daily rituals, maintenance, cleanliness, and pilgrim services. Any misuse of funds, hidden dealings, or irregular financial practices must be stopped immediately.

Pawan Kalyan further spoke about the importance of maintaining traditional practices and customs. He said that temples have a rich history and are linked with cultural heritage, and therefore, rituals should be conducted according to established traditions. He warned that any disturbance in temple customs or deviation from spiritual practices could create unrest among devotees. He insisted that temple boards should respect long-standing religious rules and should not allow personal or political interests to interfere in temple rituals.

The Deputy CM’s comments also highlighted the need for strict control over administrative lapses. He reportedly expressed concern over allegations of irregular appointments, mismanagement in contracts, and lack of accountability in certain temple operations. He said that such practices not only damage the reputation of the temple system but also bring unnecessary controversies that disturb public peace.

Pawan Kalyan made it clear that those involved in temple administration must be held accountable. He said temple boards should not protect anyone found guilty of wrongdoing. Instead, authorities should take immediate action against individuals involved in corruption or unethical activities. He emphasized that protecting temples is not a small responsibility, but a sacred duty that must be carried out with seriousness.

He also urged the concerned officials to focus more on improving facilities for devotees. Pawan Kalyan stated that pilgrims often travel from distant places and deserve better arrangements. Clean surroundings, drinking water, proper crowd control, security, and comfortable access for elderly devotees should be given priority. He said temple boards must concentrate on improving the devotee experience rather than getting caught up in disputes and unnecessary administrative confusion.

Pawan Kalyan’s statement is being seen as an attempt to strengthen the overall endowment system in Andhra Pradesh. Many believe his words are aimed at bringing reforms and ensuring that temple governance becomes more structured and reliable. Devotees across the state have long demanded transparency and fairness in temple management, and his remarks reflect the same public expectation.

Another important point in his message was the need to protect the reputation of temples. He stated that temples should always remain symbols of faith and purity. If irregularities continue, it will not only affect temple operations but also weaken the spiritual confidence of people. According to him, temple boards should function in a way that creates trust, not suspicion.

He also suggested that temple authorities should introduce stronger monitoring systems and ensure regular audits. This would help prevent misuse of temple funds and bring greater clarity in decision-making. He said that when temple management is open and clean, devotees will feel more connected and confident.

In conclusion, Pawan Kalyan’s message is a clear warning that temple boards must take their responsibilities seriously and eliminate any kind of irregular practices. His remarks underline the need for honest administration, proper financial discipline, and protection of traditions. By demanding accountability and transparency, he has reinforced the idea that temples must remain free from corruption and should always serve as true spiritual centers for devotees. His statement has created fresh attention on temple governance, and many are now watching closely to see what steps will be taken to improve temple administration across the state.
